2008 Oscars Red Carpet Special Part 1

Some of the most entertaining Oscar moments happen before the show even starts. I'm talking, of course, about the Red Carpet, where everyone at home gets to judge their favorite celebrities based solely on what they're wearing and where, as we found out tonight, anything can happen.

While I'm still in a catty and superficial mood, here are my picks for best and worst dressed:

Tilda Swinton looks like she spent no time at all on her look, from her sack of a dress to her lack of visible makeup.














Renee Zellweger's dress looks beautiful but her hair looks horrible! She even seemed to be annoyed by it, as she kept fluffing it and rearranging it as she walked down the carpet.













Ellen Page channels a '20s flapper with her necklace, but her dress' long length looked awkward and her hair looked undone.















Rebecca Miller (Daniel Day-Lewis' wife) looks like she has Christmas bows attached to her dress!
