2008 Oscars Red Carpet Special Part 3

Check out this video of the best moment from the Red Carpet. Actor Gary Busey yells at Ryan Seacrest, telling him that he's been looking for him for years. Then, after ducking out of the picture for a few seconds, Busey returns and grabs Jennifer Garner, engulfing her in a bear hug. From the looks of this video, will it be very long before we hear of Busey checking into rehab?

2008 Oscars Red Carpet Special Part 1

Some of the most entertaining Oscar moments happen before the show even starts. I'm talking, of course, about the Red Carpet, where everyone at home gets to judge their favorite celebrities based solely on what they're wearing and where, as we found out tonight, anything can happen.

While I'm still in a catty and superficial mood, here are my picks for best and worst dressed:

Best Dressed

Marion Cotillard

Jennifer Garner

Amy Adams

Keri Russell

Hilary Swank

Kristin Chenoweth

Jessica Alba

Worst Dressed

Tilda Swinton looks like she spent no time at all on her look, from her sack of a dress to her lack of visible makeup.

Renee Zellweger's dress looks beautiful but her hair looks horrible! She even seemed to be annoyed by it, as she kept fluffing it and rearranging it as she walked down the carpet.

Ellen Page channels a '20s flapper with her necklace, but her dress' long length looked awkward and her hair looked undone.

Rebecca Miller (Daniel Day-Lewis' wife) looks like she has Christmas bows attached to her dress!

For more cattiness, click here for a video of Joan and Melissa Rivers giving their rundown on tonight's Oscar fashions. Also, click here for a photo gallery of iconic Oscar dresses.

Keep checking back for much more Oscar coverage!

My Oscar Predictions

Happy Oscar Sunday! Here's a list of the nominees from all of the major categories, complete with my predictions of who will be taking home a statue tonight.

Best Supporting Actress
Cate Blanchett - I'm Not There
Ruby Dee - American Gangster
Saoirse Ronan - Atonement
Amy Ryan - Gone Baby Gone
Tilda Swinton - Michael Clayton

While I really hope newcomer Amy Ryan wins a statue tonight, I have the feeling that Academy darling Cate Blanchett will be taking home another Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Best Supporting Actor
Casey Affleck - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Javier Bardem - No Country for Old Men
Philip Seymour Hoffman - Charlie Wilson's War
Hal Holbrook - Into the Wild
Tom Wilkinson - Michael Clayton

He's won every other major award this year for his role as villain Anton Chigurh, so unless there's a major upset, Javier Bardem will be bringing home Oscar gold tonight.

Best Actress
Cate Blanchett - Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Julie Christie - Away From Her
Marion Cotillard - La Vie en Rose
Laura Linney - The Savages
Ellen Page - Juno

I think it'll be between Marion Cotillard and Julie Christie and, while I believe Marion is much more deserving of the award, I think Julie's reputation will help her to edge out a win for her turn as a woman suffering from early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

Best Actor
George Clooney - Michael Clayton
Daniel Day-Lewis - There Will Be Blood
Johnny Depp - Sweeney Todd
Tommy Lee Jones - In the Valley of Elah
Viggo Mortensen - Eastern Promises

Once again, unless there's a major upset, Daniel Day-Lewis will be a winner tonight. He's won every other major award this year for his turn as oil prospector Daniel Plainview.

Best Picture
Atonement
Juno
Michael Clayton
There Will Be Blood
No Country for Old Men

Even though Atonement won Best Picture honors at the Golden Globes and the BAFTAS, I predict that No Country for Old Men will be the big winner tonight, as it seems to have the most momentum and support going into the ceremony.

So, how did I do? Come back later for a list of the actual winners.

KFC Oscar Party?!

With the Vanity Fair after-Oscar party a no-go for this year, where are all the biggest stars going to go to celebrate? Have no fear, KFC has a plan.

KFC President Gregg Dedrick has written a letter to all of tonight's nominees inviting them to a KFC Toasted "Wrap" party, where KFC will debut its new Toasted Wrap.

The first award winner to visit the KFC closest to the Kodak Theatre, where the Oscar ceremony is being held, will receive a year's supply of KFC Toasted Wraps (WOW!) and a $5000 donation to to charity of his or her choice.

Hmm...any bets on who will be the first award winner to head to KFC after the ceremony? The sound editing guy, perhaps?

Info and Trailer for New Batman Movie

DarkHorizons.com is reporting that a new trailer for the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight, will be premiering before the film 10,000 B.C., coming to theaters on March 7. Unlike the first trailer, which focuses mostly on Heath Ledger's character the Joker, the new trailer will show more of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Aaron Eckhart as District Attorney Harvey Dent, a character who eventually becomes Batman adversary Two-Face.

Warner Brothers has said that it had planned on initially focusing its marketing campaign on the Joker and then changing it to focus on Dent, whom director Christopher Nolan said has the main story arc in the film, even before Ledger's death last month.

Weekend Box Office Totals Feb. 15-18

3. Step Up 2 the Streets (new release) -
$21,516,000
4. Fool's Gold -
$15,020,000
5. Definitely, Maybe (new release) -
$11,406,000
6. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins -

7. Juno -

8. The Bucket List -
$4,625,000

10. 27 Dresses -
$3,790,000
11. There Will Be Blood -
$3,691,000
12. The Eye -
$3,610,000

Despite receiving a load of negative reviews, Jumper took the top spot this weekend, taking in $31.7 million from Friday to Monday. However, this comes nowhere near last President Day's number one movie, Ghost Rider, which took in $52 million.

Also, I guess people were romanced-out from Valentine's Day because Definitely, Maybe, this week's new romantic comedy, debuted at number 5 and last week's number one movie, Fool's Gold, dropped to number 4.

Lastly, it is worth mentioning the staying power of the Hannah Montana movie, which was supposed to be running for only one week but which has been extended indefinitely. This appears to be a smart move, since the movie has grossed over $59 million in three weeks.
